We become your employer. Invoicing, credit control, payroll and compliance all sit with us โ you submit a timesheet and get paid through PAYE.
An umbrella company employs you directly. Your agency or end client pays us for the work you have done, and we pay you as an employee โ deducting income tax and National Insurance through PAYE and reporting it to HMRC in real time.
That means you keep the employment rights you would expect: holiday pay, statutory sick pay and a proper payslip. You are not running a company, filing accounts or chasing invoices. You are employed, and the admin is somebody else's job.
It suits contractors who want the admin gone, who are on shorter assignments, or who are inside IR35 and need a compliant route to be paid. If you are not sure whether umbrella or a limited company suits you better, ask us โ we will give you a straight comparison rather than a sales pitch.
You submit your approved timesheet โ weekly or monthly, whichever your agency works to. We invoice, and we chase if the agency is slow. Once funds clear, payroll runs and your money is on its way, with tax and National Insurance already accounted for.
Holiday pay accrues at the statutory rate of 12.07% of your earnings and is paid to you when you take time off.
Nothing stops you changing umbrella company part-way through an assignment. You tell your agency where to send payment, we handle the onboarding paperwork, and there is no gap in your pay. We will compare your current provider's fees and take-home against ours before you decide.
Enter your day rate and see exactly what lands in your account after tax, National Insurance and employer costs.

Your agency is invoiced, the payment is allocated, and anything overdue is chased by us โ not by you.
Funds clear, payroll runs, and your net pay reaches your account. Same-day options are available.
Yes. You become an employee of the umbrella, which means PAYE tax and National Insurance are deducted at source and you accrue statutory holiday pay and other employment rights.
No. We raise the invoices on your agency, allocate the payments and chase anything overdue. You submit a timesheet and that is the extent of it.
Holiday pay accrues at 12.07% of your earnings and is paid to you when you take time off. It appears on your payslip so you can see exactly what has built up.
No. IR35 status is determined by your end client and the working practices on the assignment โ not by the umbrella. Under an umbrella you are paid through PAYE either way, so there is no disguised remuneration risk.
Some expenses may be claimable, but since April 2016 the rules for umbrella contractors are restrictive โ most travel and subsistence claims are no longer available. We will tell you plainly what applies to your situation.
Our fee structure is set out on the fees page. Everything included is listed there, so there is no surprise deduction later.
Send us your contract details or give us a ring. We will tell you what your take-home looks like before you commit to anything.
